Back in May of 2004 I was given the opportunity to assist in the R&D process on the new and eagerly awaited CP Industries 500 Sabertooth package for the ever popular Honda TRX-250R based motor. After spending years playing with other aftermarket cylinder kits with very marginal reliability and mediocre performance,  I was excited to get started on this project.

The Sabertooth cylinder is nothing short of a work of art for the 2 stroke enthusiast. With It’s modern 11 port design, including plenty of transfer area and giant exhaust ports, it makes for a solid platform with a ton of possibilities and an outstanding performer. Never before has there been a bolt on big bore cylinder package for the Honda TRX-250R of this magnitude.
